This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Robert Vico, serial entrepreneur, author, and marketing expert. Here are the main takeaways from this week’s podcast.
1.See every problem as an opportunity to make a change
When most people are faced with hardship in their lives, they play it safe, avoid risk, and tuck their tails between their legs.
Those who take action know how to leverage their pain as motivation to make a change. In fact, there has never been a better time to take action.
When faced with struggle, the hunger for a better life will keep you motivated to succeed.
“You can live a life of desperation, or you can use that desperation to take a leap of faith.” – Robert Vico
2. Read 15 minutes a day
The most fundamental habit for all of life – Read, Read, Read!
Authors spend years of their lives researching, writing, and curating the best ideas, organize it into a digestible form, and price it for less than a meal at Denny’s. How crazy is it that most people do not read anything at all?
If you start reading 15 minutes a day, you’ll be able to read 12 books a year. The knowledge that you’ll get from 12 books will inevitably boost your business and generate significant returns on your time invested.
3. Start planning for tomorrow, tonight
Every night before bed, make a to-do list for the next day. This will get your mind focused and will give you a better night’s sleep.
When you wake up the next morning, you already know what you have to do.
It’s important to plan for goals, not tasks. Eliminate all non-revenue generating activities and start focusing on big picture goals.
4. Start outsourcing your business
As an entrepreneur, your time is your greatest asset.
With resources like Upwork, there’s no reason not to outsource time consuming tasks such as writing, researching, or video editing.
Outsourcing allows you to free up your time to focus on big picture goals that move your business forward.
